29th Dec 2010 - ECP Mengya's 20th!

went ECP for some exercising - cycling! :D
been a long time since I cycle! I wanna buy a bike too!
old already cycle awhile, here ache there ache. terrible!
a pretty fun day thanks to the weather!


met up at bedok MRT, 1130am! Breakfast at the market before we head off!
sadly, pingping don't know how to cycle! the last time she cycled was 5 YEARS OLD. not 5 years ago! 13years ago. god!

without fail, we sure have people falling down etc.
but not 1, we had a DOMINO EFFECT. (:

Had subway for lunch cum dinner before we decided to go for a walk at parkway parade.
My first time being there, sua gu sia! its toooooo ULU for me!


Ended the day off with a super long ride (196, 1 half hours) to clementi & walked home after that (: Us, being fishes, I randomly start a topic by saying I like angler fish cause it had a lightbulb and its cooool! Interesting fish righttt? and this fish beside me likes angler fish too. LOL pingping's face = scared dao! HAHAH! I was ... speechless!

Gambled abit that night with relatives.

with hours & hours of straining my brain, I only won $5!
I lose $18, I won $13, I lost again & at the v last min I earned $5. terrible!
Had lots of good food! durian paste, curry, ham, cakes! WOO!

In addition of this year's presents, I've got a bear from neighbour. which are now friend's with my roommate's.

Just couldn't bear to part with my money! hahahah! Whenever I buy things for myself, I just couldn't bear! but it's opposite if I buy for friends. terrible! anyway, will be getting it in Jan :D

Next. I think I have to write a bit on this one month+ surprise since its my largest effort of making something I never thought I could accomplished it that well. It's an organizer for both esther & hweeping.

Since the day during CIP which was 14th Nov 2010 (sunday),
after CIP we went to look for lavina's present and thought of buying organizer for her..
and I was seeing them looking for organizer too. triggers the thought of buying an organizer for both of them. but I didn't really go find.

then followed by 16th Nov 2010 (tuesday), where we all went town in search of lavina's organizer.
realized I was digging for winnie the pooh organizer when we're at kinokuniya? LOL.
but I didn't find a suitable one that was perfect enough.

So I went online to search. thinking to purchase online, but you can't have a preview of it also. so I dropped the idea.

Until 18th Nov 2010 (thursday), when I was looking through winnie the pooh organizer on the net in SP library, I suddenly got this idea of making myself. I know its going to be super super duper tedious. then i start to think how I'm going to make it as easy as possible. So while thinking, I told noel & shirley about it. great idea! hahaha!

Didn't get to work on it asap because I was rushing out the 17 layers of wrapping for lavina's present that time. So I started as soon as lavina's celebration ended. I did my first piece and while I'm doing my 3rd piece on dont know which day, I realised I damn stupid! LOL. I actually drew 2010 calender instead. HAAHHA! STUPID ME. then I have to refer to 2011's calendar, seeing which month have the same number of days/start of same day as those I drew.

Then on the 25th Nov 2010 (thursday), I brought it with me to genting, drawing the months in the middle of the night at starbucks with the super duper cold wind. Shiokness!

I stopped work 1 week before exam (29th Nov 2010) because I knew it wasn't the right time to do all these otherwise I might just flunk my exams. So I've actually wasted 2 weeks. hahaha! Exams screwed up my body clocked badly because I stayed up to almost 5am every night. Eventually, after exam, my body clock continued to be screwed.

I just drew every night. every day. hoping to finish earlier. till I'm afraid of drawing lines and more lines! phobia of drawing lines! hahaha! and one day I finally completed drawing lines! not to mention I actually drew 31 days for feb and 34 days for october HAHA!

On 13th Dec 2010, together with esther and lavina, we went to spotlight in search of xmas presents ideas. But I wasn't finding ideas at all actually LOL. the only thing in my mind was the organizer, so I bought the cover of the organizer and thicker paper for printing.

My roommate went back to Indo for grandmother's funeral on the 14th Dec 2010. and on the same day, esther went to malaysia. I had all the time, all the space to myself for that 5days. I rushed out everything, printed out every piece nicely. and also had a new idea of making a notes page after every month together with our clique faces/ boyf face/ idol face.

Made use of microsoft powerpoint to print out pictures on a blank page. Then use marker to draw the lines before photocopying out on a coloured paper. Wanted to use microsoft word at first because I thought I could print it out together with the lines, but microsoft wouldn't work. because the pictures wouldn't be at the place I wanted. no choiceee.

17th Dec 2010, I went down spotlight myself to purchase acrylic paint as well as 2 gift box (:
Also to find the exchange gift item.

I only had it binded together on 20th Dec 2010 (Monday). Making the use of ribbon and countless super glue. The super glue cock up also, I bought 2 at $4.50 from esso which was good. but it wasn't enough. so the next day while on my way home with esther I went big bookshop in search for cheaper super glue, 1 for $1 (I thought it would be of same quality). but it came out to be KNS! it will somehow sip through the other page which was really ugly. I bought 3 somemore. No choice, I have to go down esso to buy another 2 pack. total 4 glues. LOL!

Cover making wasn't easy at all! I was afraid the cover wouldn't last long. I was thinking how to create a perfect & cute cover. I was even afraid that the glue might screwed it up. Indeed it did. It kind of screwed up hweeping's cover, but I had it replaced with her name at the bottom left hand corner. LOL :P and I went to buy 2 book cover the next day for protection purposes.
